Funnel analytics should answer three questions: where people enter, how they progress, and whether the resulting conversions are economically valuable.
Map measurable stages
Define the key page views, form submissions, registrations, checkouts and purchases that represent progress.
Use consistent attribution carefully
Attribution models are imperfect; keep definitions consistent enough to compare trends.
Find drop-off
A large loss between two stages is a prompt for investigation, not automatic proof that the earlier page is broken.
Connect behavior to revenue
Track downstream quality, order value, refunds or qualified-sales outcomes where possible.
Protect data quality
Test event firing, filters and deduplication before trusting a dashboard.
